Product Overview
The Paper and Paperboard Tensile Strength Testing Machine is designed to measure the tensile properties of paper and paperboard. Available with test force capacities of 30 N, 100 N, 300 N, and 500 N, it accommodates a wide range of paper grades, from tissue paper and printing paper to kraft paper, paperboard, and high-strength paper-based composite materials.
The instrument measures tensile force, tensile strength, elongation, elongation at break, breaking length, tensile energy absorption (TEA), tensile index, and tensile energy absorption index. It features microcomputer control, automatic testing, a 7-inch color touchscreen, and built-in statistical data processing. A thermal micro-printer is included for test result output, while optional computer connectivity enables data storage and tensile curve display and saving.
Key Features
1. High Measurement Accuracy and Repeatability
Equipped with a precision force sensor and stepper motor control, the tester provides accurate force measurement, precise positioning, and responsive speed control. Its precision mechanical transmission and stable drive system support repeatable testing. The manufacturer specifies force accuracy better than ±1%; the final specification should be confirmed against the supplied configuration.
2. Durable Mechanical Design
The precision ball screw transmission system, synchronous belt drive, and linear bearings provide stable operation and reliable mechanical performance.
3. Multiple Test Force Capacities
Four test force capacities are available: 30 N, 100 N, 300 N, and 500 N. They can be selected according to the material and expected breaking force:
- 30 N: Tissue paper, napkins, hand towels, and other lightweight papers
- 100 N: Printing paper, cultural paper, and general packaging paper
- 300 N: Kraft paper, paperboard, and other paper products requiring a higher test force
- 500 N: High-strength paper and paper-based composite materials
The appropriate capacity depends on the specimen and test requirements.
4. Automatic Testing and Data Processing
A high-speed ARM processor and microcomputer control system support automatic testing and data acquisition. The 7-inch full-color touchscreen provides a user-friendly operating interface and built-in statistical processing of test results.
5. Flexible Data Output and Test Settings
The instrument includes a thermal micro-printer for test result output and supports optional PC connectivity. When connected to a computer with the appropriate software, test results can be stored and tensile curves displayed and saved. Test speed, specimen width, and paper grammage can be preset, and supported force and result units can be converted.
6. Convenient Force Verification and Calibration
The force sensor is mounted above and connected to the upper grip. According to the manufacturer’s design, a standard weight can be suspended from the upper grip to facilitate verification and calibration of the force indication by qualified users or calibration personnel.
