Overview
The VANVEO Glass Lined Impeller Type Agitator is designed for high-efficiency radial flow mixing in low-to-medium viscosity chemical processes. Specifically engineered to create powerful fluid turbulence, this impeller type is the ideal choice for homogenization and solid suspension in glass lined reactors ranging from 50L to 40,000L.
By firing high-silica glass enamel onto a reinforced steel core, we create an agitator that delivers both chemical inertness and the high-speed centrifugal force needed for rapid reaction rates. This specialized lining ensures that even under intense radial flow conditions, the smooth surface remains resistant to abrasion and thermal shock from -20°C to 200°C.
Key Features
-
High-Efficiency Radial Mixing: Generates strong outward fluid motion toward the vessel walls to significantly improve heat exchange and blending efficiency.
-
Superior Homogenization & Suspension: Optimized for fluids < 10,000 cP, maintaining uniform solid distribution and consistent liquid blending at 50–80 rpm.
-
Excellent Multi-Phase Dispersion: Engineered to handle gas-liquid absorption and delicate emulsions, providing a versatile solution for complex reactions.
-
Optimized Tip Speed for Durability: Maintains a controlled tip speed of <= 8 m/s to protect the glass-lined surface from abrasive wear while maximizing mixing energy.
-
Non-Stick Corrosion Resistance: The smooth 0.8–2.0 mm glass lining prevents material buildup and remains inert to most acids and alkalis.
Typical Applications
-
Gas-Liquid Mass Transfer: Ideal for hydrogenations or aerobic fermentations where gas must be dispersed into bubbles.
-
Rapid Chemical Synthesis: Achieving uniform blending in fast-acting reactions that require immediate thermal distribution.
-
Suspension of Fine Solids: Maintaining consistent distribution of catalysts or reactants with significant density differences.
-
Emulsification Processes: Creating stable mixtures of immiscible liquids through high-shear radial impact.

FAQ
Q1: What is a glass lined turbine agitator?
A1: A glass lined turbine agitator is a high-speed mixing device designed for intense radial flow, featuring a glass-enamel coating for superior corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical environments.
Q2: Why is a turbine agitator better for gas dispersion than an anchor type?
A2: The turbine’s high-speed radial flow creates high shear zones that break gas into fine bubbles, whereas an anchor is designed for moving bulk viscous fluid.
