Product Description
Vessel and Liner Structure
Our Sheet Lined PTFE Reactor has a shell made of carbon steel or stainless steel.
It provides strong structural support and pressure-bearing capacity.
The PTFE liner, 2–5 mm thick, is carefully cut, sheared, and thermoformed to line the vessel, jacket, and cover. This design ensures complete chemical isolation between the media and the metal shell.
Handling Extreme Media
Our reactor reliably handles extreme media, such as hydrofluoric acid, hot concentrated sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and aqua regia.
It actively resists corrosion and chemical attack. It performs tasks that most other chemical materials cannot withstand.
Core Advantages
The reactor’s key advantage lies in the chemical inertness of PTFE. As a result, PTFE actively resists strong acids, oxidizers, and organic solvents.
By effectively isolating corrosive media from the metal reactor, it prevents leaks, contamination, and safety incidents.
Consequently, this protection provides a solid foundation for stable and continuous industrial production.
Long Service Life and Cost-Effectiveness
The thick PTFE sheet lining offers superior permeability resistance and mechanical durability.
The reactor can operate for over 10 years under normal conditions.
This long-term stability reduces production downtime, repairs, and replacement costs. As a result, it significantly lowers maintenance expenses and total investment over the reactor’s lifecycle.
FAQ
Q: Can a PTFE-lined reactor be used with hydrofluoric acid?
A: Absolutely. This is one of its core advantages. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has excellent corrosion resistance to hydrofluoric acid and can be safely used in both concentrated and dilute acid environments, even at high temperatures.
